Community Acupuncture

Open Care Community provides some of the most affordable acupuncture in NYC. In our community clinic, patients are treated together in a large, well-ventilated room by our dedicated, compassionate staff. By receiving treatment in our community room and participating in our sliding scale, patients are entering into a healing relationship with us and each other. Thank you!

Each appointment includes a check-in with the practitioner and either a front or back treatment. At the practitioner’s discretion, patients may book an extra appointment for cupping, gua sha, tui na, herbs or an additional front/back treatment. $40-$50

Initial Appointment: $50-60
Follow-up Appointments: $40-50

Suggested Income: $25k - 40k

This is a good price for you if you: 

  • You have limited expendable income 

  • Stress about meeting needs but regularly meet them

  • Are underemployed

  • Generally have housing stability

  • Rarely buy new items because you are unable to afford them

  • Cannot afford vacations or cannot afford to take time off

$50-$65

Initial Appointment: $50-75
Follow-up Appointments: $50-65

Suggested Income: $45k-75k

This is a good price for you if you:

  • Have some expendable income

  • Stress about meeting your basic needs but still regularly achieve them

  • Have some debt but it doesn’t prevent you from meeting basic needs

  • Are employed

  • Might have access to savings

  • Are able to buy some new items and get others used  

  • Can take occasional vacations without financial burden.

$65-$85

Initial Appointment: $75-95
Follow-up Appointments: $65-85

Suggested Income: $75k+

This is a good price for you if you:  

  • Have plenty of expendable income

  • Rarely stress about meeting your basic needs

  • Have a comfortable debt to income ratio

  • Are employed

  • Have access to savings

  • Are able to buy most things without financial stress 

  • Can take regular vacations without financial burden.

low-cost option

$25-$40 Low-Cost Option

Open Care Clinic offers a percentage of low cost appointments.

At the current time, we are not accepting new patients for these appointments.

Low-cost appointments are reserved for patients who: qualify for Medicaid or qualify for SNAP/EBT benefits, and are re-verified each year. We understand that this is not a fully exhaustive list of low-income New Yorkers, but it represents the only feasible way for a small business with limited resources to verify eligibility.

Low-cost appointments are limited to one per person, per week. If a patient who is already participating in the program wishes to come in more than once a week, they may do so but have to pay according to the general sliding-scale of $40-$85.
